Overview

RT law was established in November 2017 by Rajesh Thomas, Barrister & Solicitor, High Court of New Zealand after completing successful credentials to become a sole practitioner.

Rajesh is a sole legal practitioner originally from India who practised law in The High Court of Kerala and High Court of Madras, India for four years prior to making his big move to New Zealand in 2003

During his legal career in India, Rajesh worked with Advocate Jagadeesh Chandran Nair from Kerala in many high profile criminal and civil litigation cases including Nadapuram murder case, Idamalayar hydroelectric project case, Graphite case etc. His other areas of practice in India included corporate law, debt recovery etc.

Rajesh moved to New Zealand in 2003 and successfully completed his legal studies and got registered as a Barrister and Solicitor at High Court of New Zealand in 2010. Prior to becoming a barrister and solicitor, Rajesh has worked in a legal practice in Dunedin as a law clerk and was instrumental in building the immigration practice at the firm. During this time and upon becoming a Barrister and Solicitor, Rajesh had worked with hundreds of aspiring immigrants to choose successful careers of their choice and settle down in New Zealand.

Over the years Rajesh had been tirelessly working on extending his legal career in New Zealand in a variety of areas of law, his passion being criminal and civil defence litigation.
